Program Description

Get certified to safely operate forklifts and handle hazardous materials with Alvin College’s Forklift and Hazmat Certification Program. Earn both credentials valued by warehousing, logistics, manufacturing, and construction employers.

The online training portion provides flexibility for busy professionals, and hands-on instruction is enhanced using equipment supplied by American Lift & Equipment, Inc. in Alvin, Texas.

Format: Hybrid (online + hands‑on)
Location: Alvin Campus
Forklift: 4 hrs online + 8 hrs hands‑on (12 hrs total)
Hazmat: 6 hrs online + 2 hrs hands‑on (8 hrs total)

CEEPCT 2004 Hazardous Material Transport

A course in the transport of hazardous materials and dangerous goods to meet the requirements of the U.S. Department of Transportation Title 49 CFR, Sub Part H, Sections 172.700 - 172.704, commonly referred to as Docket HM - 126F. This docket sets the training requirements for employees and employers involved in all modes of transportation, including road, rail, aircraft, and marine vessels.

CEOSHT 1010 Powered Industrial Truck (Forklift) Operator Training

A course designed to reduce powered industrial truck accidents by creating safety awareness in lift truck operators. The focus is on efficient and safe lift truck operations and the OSHA training requirements for powered industrial trucks.
