Company
The co-founders of American Lift & Equipment, Inc. are Billy Glines and Steve Cailleteau. These two master mechanics worked together in the heavy equipment business since the mid 1970's and in 1989 they founded this company. Billy has just retired in 2020.
At its inception, the business performed service and repairs for customers and has grown to include sales of heavy equipment machinery. Due to Billy and Steve's expertise in the field of service and repairs, their reputation has been established as a team who can be expected to make repairs correctly, in a timely manner, and as economically as possible.
Dale Fischer, parts manager, works diligently with all customers to ensure that every part sold is the correct one at the right price. If a part that is needed is not in stock, he has an extensive network of venders that he works closely with to ensure that you receive the correct part.
Michael Giesegh, the shop foreman, been with us a long time too, and is knowledgeable and experienced in all areas of service. He works hard to find a solution to every problem.

About Our Owner, Steve Cailleteau
Ladies and Gentlemen:
It is our sincere pleasure to welcome you aboard United Airlines Flight 1001. Today’s flight to Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport will be Captain Steve Cailleteau’s last flight as pilot in command after more than 31 years of dedicated service.
Captain Cailleteau was born in Los Angeles, CA. He attended and graduated from Friendswood High School in Texas. He continued his education and graduated from San Jacinto Jr. College with an Associate Degree in Aeronautical Technology. His father, who was an Aerospace Engineer, had a large influence on him becoming a pilot.
His first flying experience was while he was 18 years old. After graduating High School, he attended College and started training for his Private Pilot License. He graduated from college and received his Pilot License in the same year.
Throughout his flying career, Including United Airlines, Captain Cailleteau has flown various types of aircraft such as the DC 9, MD80, Boeing 727, B757, B767 and the B737 which you are flying on today. Overall, Captain Cailleteau has accumulated over 19,000 hours of flight time. Captain Cailleteau’s other interests include off shore fishing, restoring antique cars and riding motorcycles. He wishes to thank our United family for a memorable career and you, the flying public, for your trust and support of this fine airline. Joining him on his flight today is his wife, Lizzbeth, who he met at a TGI Fridays while on a layover in Columbia.
